i would buy it but i would look for the usuals...oil leaks, engine noise, clutch pedal droping when you turn left....you know the usuals. but with the crank walk issues...its a gamble you could buy it and it could or couldnt happen...but if it does, it just gives you a reason to put an insane 6 bolt in there.

and where do I get this "Insane 6 bolt" and how much does it cost? etc. I'm newb @ this car stuff... Will that be the only problem I should mainly be focused on?
I'm thinking of taking it to the shop, but I dont know what to ask for it to be checked.

You can look on ebay or any such site, the engine that you want is called a 4g63t. Just make sure that it came out of an earlier (1G) model. As for the 4g63t that is CURRENTLY in there, drive it till it drops... Theres a decent chance that it wont crankwalk. Its a DSM, and thusly crnkwalk will NOT be the only challange that you will face with this car. But theres nothing TOO serious, other than that. Im not downing the car mind you, Ive got one myself that I love to death. Its a worthy addition to anyones car collection IMO.

Problem that I'm having is (now that I know what a crank is) how do I know whether to get a 7 Bolt or a 6 Bolt? I have no problem with Price, it's just that I don't know which one I have to get. Does it matter? Is 7 Better than 6?
Can I put:
Topline 7 Bolt Crankshaft (Aftermarket... click link for Info + Pricing)
http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=5413&
Or do I choose from here: http://www.slowboyracing.com/shop.php?sid=&cat=4531
and choose a 6 Bolt... or again... 7 Bolt ... but these are "remanufactured"... so it's just the same as the stock ones... so they'll eventually go bad again, rite?

most people will say that the 6 bolt is better because i doesnt crank walkas much and that it has more power potential...to me i dont worry about the crank walk issue as much as most people are flipping out about it soon as they hear it. it my engine goes it just gives me a reason to put a high HP engine and turbo into my car.
