'96 Eclipse owner?
 

Hey i'm lookin at buying a 1996 Eclipse RS. It has a few problems. Back-up lights don't and neither do the flashers. it has an AEM cold air intake 76,xxx miles on it for $5k. it's rollin on 17" rims brand new tires, clean body needs timing belt changed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Plus if their are any other issues i should be concerned about.

you have alot of labor ahead for 5g. i hate the timeing belts they are biatch to change also if the belt needs changed so dose the water pump around 200-300 bucks. as for the blinkers if they dont work before you buy check and see if it is the fuse if not than it may not be worth it becuase electrical sucks to pinpoint and it may be worse than just a short.

I dunno 5k sounds too high.
