as for the free mods, i only know one of them, seein as i dont have a turbo someone else will hav to tell ya the other one, but one of them is if you look down the intake pipe you will see a tube jutting back into it, this is the recirculation line from the engine, if you cut it out from inside the intake pipe it will help increase airflow, be aware to only cut it from the inside only though, if you cut it off from the outside the air the computer has already read will be released into the atmosphere......... you need to recirculate the air the computer has read so the tube needs to remain connected to the intake pipe.....

 

OOooooOOOOO thank you SpyderGS i guess ima hold off on purchasing the engine since there is no point in actually gaining something from it. all the extra work of "plumbing" i believe wil evenually kill me not only mechanically but budget wise...... but after this whole discussion i see the light!! errrr i mean that is i know what to do and that would be focus my attention to the car's turbo. just recently i upgraded the fuel system and getting started on the intercooler. as for extierior i found a nice apexi exhaust and nice jdm rims........ wow spent almost 2 grand....... saving up for the turbo. thanks alot for all your guys help!!!

 

You've got a nice car, there are a lot of people that wish they could have it! Just keep it tasteful. BTW, which wheels did you get?

 

i was lucky i just sold off mai old weels and rims on craigs list and i "upgradeded" i dont think that the right worl to toyo rims its a small upgrade in handeling but its better than nothing now im gonna cast aside the turbo for now and purchase some springs to lower my car and increse the handeling preformance. thanks for your advice my car is running much faster on the freeway =P and more stronger when going up hill. thanks

 

the reason why poeple put 1 g motors into 2g cars, they are a stronger motor from factory, and you will not get crankwalk, thats just to make the story short.

 

and with 5 grand to put in the motor you should be running 10's in no time. if you do it right, if you just put in a big turbo and crank up the boost you will be paying for repair instead of mods.then that 5 grand might make your run again lol.

 

First the 4g63 motors in the EVO are backwards and would not be worth your time or money to swap. If you want a 2.4L turbo motor then get a 4g64 and swap on a 1g 4g63 head or get a stroker kit.

There is no reson at all to swap out your motor unless you are swapping to a 6 bolt. I have built several 6bolt and 7 bolt 2L 4g63 motors to 500hp.

WOW 500 hp i would never imagin that much on a 2ng eclipse.......usually mustang............. .................. ................. i thought it would go up to 3XX hp but 500 is a pretty out there number. i know its possible but i bielieve it more then i can afford. thanks for your commentary
