Default '97 Eclipse Oil Leak

My daughter's '97 Eclipse four cylinder, non-turbo leaks oil from the valve cover gasket. I have tried several times to seal it and have been unsucessful. I've tried replacing the gasket and o-rings at the plugs with no sealant. I have tried it with sealant. Still it leaks. Anyone else had this problem and found a solution? I'd appreciate any advice

sounds like the valve cover gasket is warped or bent id pull one out of a junk yard and try it.
oh and make sure the o-rings where the sparkplugs holes are are seated into the valve cover.

Yeah it sounds like the Valve cover could be warped but ALSO (Something most people don't bother thinking of) there is a REASON it STARTED leaking. Usually it's caused by the PCV valve being clogged. Change that at the same time (It SHOULD be changed every 30K miles or once a year). If it's still clogged when you put the new gasket on it'll try to blow out the same gasket.

Ya the pvc valve killed mine twice, I just bypassed it with a catch can, but ya get a new valve cover, and gasket. Then get some heavy duity rtv sealent. Follow the directions on the back of the rtv sealent very carefully ie putting some one the cyl head then on the valve cover, let it sit for a min or two to let the stuff get tacky, then start to slap that **** togather. Also make sure you tighten the bolts in a pattern that mitsu recomends. You are suppose to torque the bolts to 107 inch-lbs. Ya I deff did mine more then that, pretty much more then its safe to, right before the breaking point. Now it dosent leak. Becarefull with the 420a tho she has all sorts oh holes and **** that oil will find its way out of. At one point in time I had a leak on the headgasket, the oil pan started to rust out and the valve cover. It all happend one after another. I have a pic of it all of the oil it left in the drive way the last night i drove it like that. Note that in the pic she sat in the spot from 10pm to 8am the next day. Now she only leeks internially lol... like a truma victim.
