did you remove the pulley for any reason? if so you had to us a pulley puller and mabey you just aren't tightening it back on enough to get it lined up. get a rubber mallet and beat on it a bit.

Unless you have the wrong parts on your car everything will line up.

here is a pic of what I'm talking about. In the first pic the belt is going into the engine. Is not aligned with the water pump pulley? I know that the pulley is installed in the right position. what should I do with the alt. pulley?

so,is the water pump belt is rubbing on the alternator...?
I still cant see what you are talking about from your pictures...
From the vantage point of the pictures, it looks like everything is aligned...
does one pully wabble when its running?
try to describe in detail what exactly you did, and what exactly in detail the problem is... like, why did you remove them to begin with? what order, what you did with the bolts when you took them off, what order you put them back on, how you removed them, how you put them back on.
To my knowledge, the pulleys are not the pressed on variety, and should be held on with just bolts... (not that they arent a tight fit, but I dont think there is a need for a puller, or an installer tool needed)

this is the problem

1). If you see the first picture the belt that goes from the WP to the Alt. is kinda off aligment. The alternator is kinda moved into the engine like 1/4". This makes the alt pulley to be off align.
The pulley does not wabble and i did not removed the pulley from the alt.
When I installed the alt, I followed the chilton instructions.

oh, ok. Now i understand, I am going to go with that you left out a washer, or got on in the wrong place or something.
ITs fairly common, and can cause exactly what you are talking about.
If you lost the washer, or just dont know what happened to it, shim it out with some good ol' hardware store zink plated washers.
