another downpipe???

Hey guys. I was planning on getting the Megan Racing downpipe, but the price shot up $30. I was wandering if you guys recommended any other downpipes? What about the OBX? Is that even a good brand: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-T...47401539QQrdZ1

Or what about this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STAIN...46234358QQrdZ1

Or do you guys recommend any other ones?

well the OBX one says:
Tuningdepot will warranty all products from manufacturer defects in material and workmanship for 120 days from the date of the invoice

So if i were to choose between those 2, id pick the OBX. I would never buy anything from a company called always bargains.

What size should the inlet be of the downpipe? 2.5? 2.25? and the outlet obviously 3. The inlet size depends on the O2 housing, right? I have the stock O2 housing. What size should the inlet be then for the downpipe?

RE: another downpipe???

when i did my exhaust i still had the stock turbo and o2 housing. I pieced together a full 3" turbo back exhaust (downpipe, magnaflow cat, cat back). It bolted up to the stock o2 housing but it was a huge pain in the ass cuz the studs coming off the o2 housing were so close to the downpipe that i couldnt get a socket on there, or a box end wrench. The only thing i could use was an open end wrench at an angle. So i never got it 100% tightend because it was so hard. So it leaked a little bit there. Then once i got my new turbo i got an Evo III o2 housing. It made life so much easier!!!!!! i could actually fit a box end wrench on there.

Now what is your price range on the down pipe? I personally am a huge fan of Apexi. I dont know if you have a GST or GSX but here are the links to 2 of thier down pipes

I am actually getting a Megan Downpipe. I found it for cheaper on Slowboyracing.com. But anyway, you got your o2 housing from extremepsi right? Is it this one? http://www.extremepsi.com/store/cust...cat=610&page=1

Did you get yours ported? By the way, on that o2 housing, whats the point of buying the unported. Is the unported better than the stock?

RE: another downpipe???

yea thats the one. I didnt get mine ported. It still has a larger inside volume than the stock one

Awesome, i guess screw the upper intercooler piping for now. Did you do it yourself? Is it easy.

And what gasket did you get?

RE: another downpipe???

When i got the o2 housing they sent the o2 housing to downpipe gasket. I bought the turbo, manifold and o2 housing at the same time so i naturally got the turbo to o2 gasket, turbo to manifold gasket and manifold to head gasket. one word of advice that will save you some trouble. you can use bolts to put the o2 housing onto the turbo an all but 1 hole. The way the o2 housing is made, its impossible to get a bolt into the 4th hole, what you have to do is thread a stud into the turbo and slide the o2 housing over the stud. Then just put a nut on there. I probably didnt word this to well but if u need me to explain it i will
