Apexi N1 Installed!
My cat-back exhaust is on its way so i thought i would prep the car so its ready to go. So much for that idea, here is what i ran into. Question is are those studs part of that flange on the cat? I cant think of any way to get them off without cuting. There is really no thread on the nuts...they are covered in a rust. I can get a wrench around it but it doesnt do anything. The expander for the 2.5-3.0 inch has to go on here. Any help? (sorry the pics are so big)

RE: Apexi N1 Install problem
Damn i dont think ive ever seen one that bad. This might sound funny but take a blow torch tothe bolts. I hada similar problem with my car when i was having a test pipe made and that is how they finally manged to get the bolts out.

I had my dad look at it and he wanted to cut them[&:]. I'm not buying a new cat either.

Ergh lol.
Yeah pouring it over it will help to a degree. What is going to be most effective is if you can keep it submerged in it. Be careful, it will dissolve iron, but it dissolves rust a LOT faster. You will find that some household cleaners contain the stuff.
