i have a 98 eclipse GST and my backup lights don't work. it's pluged in and they still don't work, is it possiable that they're not grounded?

i had the same problem in my 3g a few weeks ago.
the switch for the backup light was damaged.
it's in the engine compartment.

check this...

I've checked the bulbs and they were good.

theres a plug with wires comin outta it on the tranny casing, well on the 3gs anyway, im assuming its the same with the 2g, but thats the switch for the reverse lights, that might be bad
