Big Tranmission and/ or clutch problem.

So I have a big problem guys and gals. It seems as though I don't have second, fourth, or reverse in my manual trans. I can't figure out what is going on, whether it is the clutch or the transmission. I DO have first, third and fifth but when I shift to the other gears it won't hold or they grind the gears or something. When I went to leave for work today, I shifted into reverse and nothing happened. It wasn't holding in reverse and would just rev when I attempted to back down the driveway. Any suggestions and help would be great. Thanks.

Its the tranny not the clutch, proly the synchros. Get a new tranny, it will be cheaper then rebuilding your old one.

Found out the problem, but might want a new tranz anyways.

Well, first of all, I found out that it is the clip that holds one of the cable in place, it just happened to break off or slip off while I was doing some aggressive shifting I believe but any who, I think that is the problem and I can fix that tomorrow. Also, I was wondering where I would find a tranz and what I should go with. I really want a six speed but an really good five speed would be awesome. Any suggestions?

no one makes a 6 spd tranny for the 4g63, 420a or 4g64.. unless you have a 3g. If that is the case then I dont know best bet would be a junkyard.

Yeah, I knew that but I was wondering if you could like, get an adapter plate or something for it but, well, it doesn't matter, I am happy with the 5 speed. Thanks.
