breather???
is it better to have a breather on a gst engine or just having a hose to the intake tubing
|
RE: breather???
an oil catch can would be better. The breather filter is good because it keeps contaminants from entering the valve cover, but oil can still flow through it. The catchcan would obviously catch this oil and leak it someplace else. The hose from the valve cover to the intake allows oil to enter your intake pipe and could gum up your turbo.

RE: breather???
Alright, now that someone brought this up, I got a question too about it.
If you put in a breather, where do you put that hose that comes off the valve cover that connects to the intake? Do you plug that hole off the intake, leave it open, etc??? not sure, what do you do? |
RE: breather???
you could either plug it up or just leave it open. Preferably you want to plug it but its such a small hole that its not really gonna cause any issues
|
RE: breather???
what do you plug it with?
|
RE: breather???
i dont have mine plugged. I just have the othe end leading to the little nipple on the intake.... although it does nothing lol
