broken car horn

For some reason the horn on my car doesn't work i'm not sure what the problem is but i went to the junkyard and got another horn airbag thing and put that one in thinking that it might be the one i have being broken but that one didn't work either and from what i can see the buttons are good and not smashed or broken so does anyone have any idea what might be the problem and how i might go about fixing it, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Chris

Check the wireing. Just hot wire it to a battery and see

check the leads... this is a fairly common problem with eclipses and their horns.our leads can get some sort of carbon build-up on them, just clean it off with an eraser and it'll work... same thing happened to me

OK... so its been a while since this was last posted and i couldnt really figure out what was going on, so i gave up, but now apparently you have to have a working car horn to take the driving test to get your license....as i found out the hard way so i looked back at this post and this is what i did. the horn still doesnt work, i scraped off the carbon that was built up around the leads and that still didnt work.. i also got a completely different airbag just to see if the switches on mine were bad and as far as i can see they are fine. what does happen is when i hit the buttons for the horn you can here the click from where the fuse is soooo.... anyone have anything about this..

Thanks Chris

RE: broken car horn

it should be along with the rest of your fuses under your hood. its just a little black box. you'll see a couple relays in there for various things. try replacing the horn one to see if that solves the problem

Replace your horn with a good wolo horn. Check Warning Light | Code 3 | Light Bar | Strobe Light | LED Lights for best horns.
