my 96 eclipse rs will downshift sometimes when i let off the gas, it downshifts too hard and it almost stalls when it does it. many times it DOES stall! it sux.sometimes itshuts offwhen i shift from reverse to drive, but other times itshuts offjust when it downshifts very hard. </P>


is the stalling problem transmission related?</P>


can someone tell me what the problem is? is it a sensor? how much may it be to fix it if i do the work myself? </P>

its an issue thats impossible to diagnose over the net.</P>


It could literally be 3 dozen different things.</P>

lets ignore for a second that the 96 eclipse RS is built in chicago, by american workers, using a totally chrysler built powertrain.</P>


Of course, your f-150 was probably assembled in canada. </P>
