Cig Lighter Wiring

Hi,

I have a 96 Eclipse GS Spyder and I just saw the my cig lighter is not connected with any wires, actually I never had a lighter but the lighter base was a bit loose so I decided to put it in place and when I grabbed it I noticed that it has no wires at all. Does anyone knows whether it is difficult to wire it back together - have you seen a How-to on that topic, I guess it requires 2 wires but I am not sure where to grab them from and how to link them to the lighter.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Svetlin

It should just need a power and ground, you could look in a workshop manual to see where the power comes from stock and wire into that same circut. I think I've got the wiring diagrams somewhere, I'll try and check it out.

there should but two prongs coming off the lighter that have connecters running to them. i would look around for the conectors to be lieing around somewhere. that would be the first thing i would do.

Thanks,

I guess it isn't that difficult after all but the dash is so dark and when I light it up with something still it is very hard to search around but I will dig in and check whether there aren't any cables left, actually I saw one yellow cable which wasn't hooked to anything but it had a rubber end like though which are connecting to the harness of the stereo player so I thought it is just an additional one for it. If you see a diagram somewhere, though, please post it here, it will be much appreciated.

Thanks again,

Svetlin
