Clutch keeps getting soft
After I bleed the clutch it will be fine until I start it and change gears a few times. Then it gets soft and have to slam it in gear. I replaced the master cylinder already which a mechanic told to me to do but it's still doing it. Any help would be appreciated!!

RE: Clutch keeps getting soft
Is the slave cylinder leaking?

RE: Clutch keeps getting soft
I do not believe so. The fluid level hasn't moved.

RE: Clutch keeps getting soft
Is the clutch master cylinder adjusted properly? Where does the clutch begin to grab at?

RE: Clutch keeps getting soft
It should be adjusted properly. We compared it to the one that came out. And it grabs immediately as soon as you go to let it out. So basically you let it out 1/4" and it grabs enough to stall the engine.

I'm wondering that you have it adjusted too much where it grabs right off the floor. That wouldmean the clutch isnt totally disengaging and causing itto shift really hard.

RE: Clutch keeps getting soft
So should I try backing the little U shaped thing out some that connects to the pedal?
|
RE: Clutch keeps getting soft
I'd try it and see what happens.

RE: Clutch keeps getting soft
I would say adjust the clutch pedal. There is a rod that connects to the master cylinder. And on the firewall side of the rod is a bolt, loosen the bolt...turn the rod, tighten the bolt and check the engagement point. I had the same problem with mine and the bolt kept loosening itself up until i really got in there and adjusted the pedal and tightened it up
