Clutch question

when i have my foot down on the clutch constantly over and over again, and waiting at lights and such, after awhile its get harder and harder to change gears, could it be something wrong with the clutch or is my exhaust too close to it, or something simple like a tranny fluid change or something? any suggestions?

Flush out the crappy fluid... replace it. See if that makes a difference

I agree.
I had the same issue when I get stuck in traffic, after I changed the fluid, the shifting issue was gone.

RE: Clutch question

also check for fluid leaks around the master and slave cylinder. if your leaking fluid then your clutch isnt gonna fully disengage

If it was just dirty fluid I would think it would do it all the time, not just after a while..

But thats the cheapest and easiest thing to try ;)

You know how to bleed it? Or you need help?

RE: Clutch question

i don't know when the last time the fluid was changed i've only had it for almost a year now. and i don't know how to bleed it. if it's simular to breaks then i have an idea, but if it's not i don't know. how much is a tranny flush and to have it get new fluid?

RE: Clutch question

Dont worry about the tranny flush. Yes the clutch is similar to brakes

RE: Clutch question

You can use dot 4 or better brake fluid.. The bleeder valve is down on the left side underneath... When you push the clutch pedal down (Like the brake pedal) make sure it doesnt go all the way to the floor... Otherwise you will have to do it all over again... The tranny fluid is up on the right side by the firewall.. You can tell if the fluid needs to be flushed by how dirty it is in the container up there.. If it looks clean then thats not the problem..
