Default Conversion

Okay I was wondering, even though it will probably cost alot, how much money would it take to convert my automatic 99 rs to a manual? Also what components am I going to have to get, or is there a kit somewhere that will make life easier? I was thinking about just buying a manual but then i got to thinking and my 99 has really low mileage and I already have it and didnt pay that much for the car. With the money it would take to go find a nice manual I think I could just convert mine for less money. What do you guys think?

I think it's not worth the $ to do it. You'll need a clutch, flywheel, brake pedal, trans, master and slave cylinders, pedal and mount, shifter and cables, welder and other tools. You'll likely need custom mounts for the trans, you'll be adding holes in the firewall, you'll have to add the pedal under the dash and change the brake pedal, you'll need to make sure everything lines up and even with the best measuring there's STILL no garauntee it'll be right and that it'll last. Overall I think it's a bad idea period.

LOL for the price you'll pay to do a conversion you could easily find a body with a blown engine and have your engine swapped in. Not trying to be an ******* just trying to save you heartache and finacial woes later in life.
