Hey guys, the car is together now. Just finished. I have not turned it on yet. Is there anything i need to know before trying to turn it on? NEED HELP! I put coolant, oil, and power steering fluid in. Let me know please.

 

should be good to go, check your timing marks one more time! may need to prime the car or turn it overa couple times b4 u get it to turn over b/c the fuel isn't pressurized right now.

 

What do you mean by prime the car? What does that mean exactly?

 

prime is when you paint your car, just kiddn lol

 

you can cycle the key a couple of times and that should help.

 

that's what i was refering to.... turn the key from off to on positon to get fuel circulating and put some pressure in the line.

 

In other words give it some gas lol

 

What work did you do to the car? If you did anything with the oil pump I would recommend pulling the spark plugs out, and disconnecting the coil pack and turning the key for a good 30 seconds to prime the oil pump. Do that and you should be good to go.

 

He changed the head gasket.

 

Well then I'd say turn the key and let 'er roll. Remember to run easy for the first 100 or so miles and check the torque on the head bolts after that you should be good to go.
