just got some new 18"rims and kuhmo tires. the place i got them from balanced them so all i had to do was but them on. i put them on today and when i started driving on the highway i noticed if i let the wheel go that my car would drift slightly to the left. what should i do? does it mean i put the tires on crooked or what. or maybe the tires just have to wear a little. and is it ok driving on for a bit

It could be that your old tires were aligned with wear already compensated for and since your new ones don't sit the same as your old ones do, you'll need a new alignment. Remember that balanced wheels have nothing to do with wheel alignment.
Put your old one back on and see if your car still pulls left.

yea man, and you have to get that done at a shop, not something you can do on your own... take it back to the shop where you got your tires mounted... i'm not sure why they wouldnt do that in the first plave

a drift sounds like a radial tire pull. unless they are directional cross rotate them and see if the problem goes away or changes direction. i may have stated this before but the industry standard is if you are in the center of 1 lane, let go of the steering wheel and count to 6 if you are completly in the next lane by the time you get to 6 it is considered a pullin which case an alignment is recommended. if it takes longer than a 6 count, it is considered a drift which has very little to do with alignment specs and is almost always related to tires, beit pressure mounting or just a tire with a natural drifting tendency. i still suggest you do an alignment because any time you get new tires it just cheap insurance to have an alignment done but i don't think that is going to fix youre problem.
