im thinking about buying a stage 3 95 eprom ecu shipped from dsmchips.com.what do you guys think? any suggestions or do any of you guys have this already done to your car?

Its definetly worth doing, especially if you dont have any tune at all right now, but its good to have that and an SAFC because you can fine tune the it after you get the ECU back

 

yea i got it done to my gsx but it isnt running yet, so i can't really tell you how well it worked lol

 

It works very well. I'm running it now and it runs better than it ever did stock. The high throttle maps are a little rich and that is why I would take jon's (Engineer's) suggestion and run the safc-II with it. Remember though, the stutterbox feature does not work if you have already disconnected the clutch pedal switch.

 

since my computer is a 96 i have to buy a 95 eprom ecu?or can i just use mine.and why is the 95 eprom so special?

 

Eprom is a chip in the ECU that allowsthe ECU to be programable. Without Eprom...you cannot tune your stock ECU. You can ONLY piggyback or replace.
