1st gen has a s**tty exhaust man. Bigger throttle body, bigger turbo. 14b as oppossed to the 2nd gen t25. bigger intake man. 2nd gen ported is better though. Lighter in weight, only 7 bolt. bigger cams and rods. Lighter fly wheel. blah blah, better engine cept for the exhaust man. it cracks like mad.

I disagree about the ported 2g intake mani being better. I've seen some hogged out 2g intakes that still don't even compare to a polished 1g intake. Also, it's better to have a beefier 1g intake than a ported 2g with thinner walls. Remember, these things are holding in pressure, sometimes upwards of 1.5 bar. Better to have something that's durable and flows well. 2G manifold is good for low end power because of the runner length and the velocity created at lower speeds. However it bottlenecks the engine at higher speeds, even when ported.

2g pistons are better, slightly higher compression and made a little more durable.

this is true, but as to be a dragger... top end isn't a must have. I'll agree that the 1st is better on a road race though. thanks for the piston comment. I forgot that.
