egr valvle problem
how do i test to see if its the egr soleniod or the egr valve? or should i just pay the money and have the dealership take care of it?

I would definitely not goto the dealership, they will charge you the highest possible amount to fix it and some of them will say its both and only fix one cause it really is only one. I would find a small local mechanic shop in your area and take it there. First have them do a "FULL Diagnostic", not scan for DTCs. Then you will have a print out showing more details about what the problem is. Then go from there. :)
