Hey, here's a list of potential stuff done to an engine... how much do you think all of this would cost to get professionally done? and how much power to you think this engine could hold??

-Eagle rods floated off crank onto piston heads
-JE pistons
-Ported/polished
-Blueprinted
-Water jackets and oil channels cleaned
-6-layered and reinforced head-gasket

-New flywheel
-New clutch
-Fuel pressure regulator
-GM MAFT and MAF translator
-450 Injectors

 

Doing all this, Why would you only use 450 injectors?

 

well, i'll be upgrading the injectors.....oooooooooook so this is the motor+ that im going to be buying off a guy that i'm currently "working" with... so far this is the parts list that he's given me... There's more to come, im just wondering how much you think all this is worth? he has all of the receipts and it was all professionally done, no hack-job sorta deal... i should have the rest of the list in the next couple of days...

 

Ok i gotcha...I just tought this was like a "wish list" if you will. You could easily sell that setup of 2500.00. How much does he want?.....it'll be easier to say hell ya buy it, or idk bout that, u know?

 

He wants 5k for the whole set-up, theres quite a bit more on the list, i should get the rest of it within the next couple of days

 

by the way he's runnin a 20g turbo, the whole motor has less the 5,000 miles on it, mostly highway miles, hasnt taken it to the track since it was rebuilt, before it was he said he ran a 12.9

 

Ya get the whole list, then we can see where the 5k would be going.

 

ew MAFt. Id get rid of that. But you really need the whole list. Is it coming with the entire turbo kit as well. Cuz if this is "just" the engine then its a rip off. Because you could get a 6-bolt fairly cheap. And build it up for less than that easily. I think JLH is in the right ballpark with $2500.

 

if he's there today i'll ask him for the rest of the list... what's wrong with the maft?

 

its pointless cuz all its for is to be able to vent without having the issue with the stock MAS but ive heard they are a PITA to tune with and still give issues.
