rigghhhtt... bended pipe is worthless... that's why every catback exhaust you see for ANY car is bended.
STONE COLD FACT : 420A'S ARE SLOW, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE SLOW UNLES YOU PUT A MINIMUM OF 3000 DOLLARS INTO THEM. THIS IS A FACT, THERE IS NO NEED TRYING TO DO NEW THINGS (LIKE A STRAIGHT PIPE FROM THE INTERMEDIATE PIPE TO THE MUFFLER) TO CHANGE THIS FACT. I DUMPED OVER 1600 DOLLARS INTO MINE AND GOT A WHOPPING 6-10WHP. IF YOU HAVE A 420A'D ECLIPSE, MAKE IT LOOK AND SOUND GOOD, THERE IS NO GOING FAST WITH THESE.

When Isay straight pipe, I mean piping with no cat.... I dont litteraly mean its straight andim not talkin bout bended pipe.... Im talkin bout that flex pipe..... That ish is no good.... Dude we know bout the 420A.... Hes not askin bout makin it fast... Hes askin how it would sound... So chill.... If you got a personal bias against the 420A, Set it aside and dont let it cloud your opinion.... We all know its slow and it takes alot of money to make it just a lil faster... When they ask bout makin a 420A faster then you can tell them that... In a nice way.... But he just wants to make it sound good and wants to know what he can do or use to make it so

It will sound like $hit. Plain and simple. If you think it sounds good with all straight pipe then you have no idea. Cuz there is no way that any NT car with full straight pipe will sound good.

clipse, look at this whole thread... i tried telling him 3 or 4 times that it would not sound good, would not work, and would be a waste of money. but when somebody asks the same question over and over and over and over and over w/ the same response, THAT gets on my nerves. if he's looking for a straight pipe designed cat back exhaust than check out Thermal R&D that is what i had on my car. LOUD and no gain. I got it from Hahn racecraft... which is the leading developing company witht he 420a so they know their stuff. If the leading companie's exhaust gives me no gain... than what do you think a straight pipe will do? the same thing only sound a lot worse and a lot louder.

I did a Thermal R&D on my 3G V6 with strait pipes for little or no gain, AND it was loud as ****... so I gotta agree with the surf shop here... which is of course Ron and Jon. Get it... anyone...?

ok first my 420a beasts 350z's and i bought my car for 1200 basically the way it is...so u must have done something wrong with urs to put all that crap in there and only get 6-10hp cause im runnin on factory ecu and all but ne ways.....
dont put that metal beny shiiiiat on there its crap like everyone says plus u need the back pressure from those curves or u will LOSE power
