Default FCC iD

This is probably a stupid question. But since I don't know anything about my car, I guess it's acceptable. I want to buy a remote on ebay for my 99 eclipse. Does it have to have a matching FCC ID (Or so it says on ebay)? And if so, where do I find the FCC ID on my car?

I think it's a company at least. Their feedback claims they've sold a lot of them, and a lot of people were able to use them. So I'm hoping that's enough credibility.
