Default Fuel Delivery

Can dry gas ruin my fuel system? I put dry gas in my car like 3 weeks ago with full tank of gasoline. After my fuel tank almost empty , I filled it up. After I finished filled up my tank I turn on the engine and rev the car about 4000 RPM in neutral while waiting for the traffic to clear up on the main street on the way out of gas station. About 5 minutes after that, My car started to jerk and won't pick up on acceleration. I stopped my car with engine on and the car idle really rough. I got it scanned with OBD II and CEL shows TIMING BELT MISSING A TOOTH OR MORE ON CAMSHAFT . SO I drove it to mechanic and get them check.

Bad part of the car from what CEL tell the mechanic :

-Upstream O2 Sensor ( got it replaced)
-MANUFACTURER FUEL DELIVERY FAULTY <------------- The mechanic told me that only dealer know what's this mean.

DOES ANYBODY KNOWS WHAT IS THIS CODE MEANS AND HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?

Weird part:

- According to the mechanic there isn't any code saying about TIMING BELT ............. when I asked him about that.

CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHY IT'S NOT SHOWING THE CODE ABOUT TIMING BELT?

I'm so stress up with this car

It would really help to have the P# for the code so we can properly analyze it

Ok I went to AutoZone and Got them read the code. BUt then I lost the paper that shows the code number

All I remember there was one code

TIMING BELT SKIPPED A TOOTH OR MORE
Possible cause:
1 Loose Camshaft or Crankshaft position sensor
2 Bad timing belt

This suck!!! There is no such thing like the mechanic told me. Manufacturer Fuel Delivery Problem.

i agree with the mechanic. I have never heard of any such code. Check you timing belt and see if its bad. And then check the timing marks on the cam gears and make sure they still line up so they would face each other in the center.

is that mean I have to open up everything? I don't know how to do that. I need to send it to mechanic again but then again, the mechanic lied to me by saying the timing belt code was not there and it was other code that says Manufacturer fuel delivery problem. I don't I'm going to the same mechanic. I need to sell this car as is.

But to open timing belt cover I have to remove Powersteering pump and other things on the way and I don't have the knowledge for that.

Unless you are talking about that little window on the side I can open and only about the size of my palm. Is that how you set the timing belt?

the timing belt cover is two peice. You dont need to remove anything to remove the top part of it besides like 4-5 screws.

IT's 420A engine so I see no more than one screw by the cover. It's the screw for that little window to look at the camshaft. ANy other idea?
