Default FWD to RWD

I was wondering how hard it would be (or even possible) to change the front wheel drive to rear wheel drive in a 97 Eclipse. I work in a Welding and Fabricating shop so i have easy access to tools, has anyone even done this or is it just one of my many dreams.

is this a serious answer? . As far as i know its not possible. I have never heard of anyone being able to do it. I have seen awd cars that remove some parts to make it RWD but thats it

http://www.eagletalon.net/ has some good fabbing info for a 1G to give you some ideas.

I've seen it recommended before, so I too will say...use a tranny a Mitsu Mighty Max. I've also read doing it the way the Starion was setup. I've also read how Buschur does it. Here's their kit...

BTW, what motor do you have? Having a 4g63/4g64 is a good start, having a 420a..isn't.

There was a 1G that was done that way too.
Here's a vid of it..

Here's the site about it..

Kaizen Tuner's Eagle Talon...ring a bell to any other DSM'er?
It's a cool custom job and I will give the folks that put her together some credit, but it's not as fast as what a single 4G63 can do....still pretty awesome though.

Thanks TE
