Starting to get into the tuning aspect of the DSM world and very slowly.. but surely I'm learning, right now my next question is what is the point of using a GM MAF sensor, I see it all over the place on dsm tuning forums and I'm trying to understand why I need one and what exactly does it do that the stock MAF can not do?

It flows better. If you're going beyond 450hp, then go that route.

You need the translator module. Also known as the GM MAF Translator.

Also, these are incredibly annoying to tune with. They are always all over the place.
