Default Grinding, Squeak from wheel

A few days ago i was driving around and it was on some really bad road. Anyways later on i pulled into a gas station to fill up and i notice i would hear squeaky noise as i turned the wheel from left to right. Drove it home and it just got louder and louder with each turn. I know the sound is coming from the wheel area. The only problem i know of is that one side of my car the CV joint on one has lost the plastic cover for some time now. The other side still has it but has a little whole in it. Could that be the cause?

well if the cv joint is going bad, i thought it would make a clicking sound. does it only happen when your turning from left to right while your driving? also could be a wheel bearing.

Ohh the front right wheel bearing is only like 1 1/2 month old. The right side was checked about the same time and was good. Also when i had the bad wheel bearing the car ride was louder and there was vibration. Right now there no vibration or anything. Steering is smooth left to right with ease still. Just the annoying sound left to right.

it is the CV joint. if the rubber boot has a rip or hole in it all of the grease that lubs the moving parts is A)getting dirty from dirt and rocks and B) the grease is leaking out so there is less to lub the parts. Check the inside of your rims. You shuld see a bunch of black grease all over.

Either a CV joint... but he says that it does it when the car is standing too.... that makes me think its the powersteering belt or something.

Well i have been driving with a torn boot on the right side for month without noise. All of a sudden i hear noise and it comes from both side of the wheel. I am going to replace both lower ball joints on each side since there damaged anyways and see. Ill ask the mechanic to look at the power steering belt.

Well i checked my belts today just to see if they were to loose. No squeal and it looks good. My power steering resevoir oil was below the min mark so i decided to refill it. That didn't do anything. Maybe i might need to bleed the system. Chilton says to disconnect the high tension ignition cable. wut the heck is that and where is it lol.
