GTF Diablo Lambos...
 

Hey guys, im lookin' into getting some vertical doors for my GS and GT Factory is the way im leaning...my question is, has anyone here had experience with DTF's Diablo doors? I dont want alot of heavy modding if thats what it will take to get this type of hinge to fit. I've heard that guys have had to do some slightwork in order toget the hinge to fit flush with the inside of the pannel on 2g eclipses. Is that the case with the Diablos? Also would you recomend just straight welding or drilling thru the hinges so that a bolt on style could be used? Any advice or input from you guys that you might have from your own experiences would be great - Thanks!

I recomend not doing it. They are gay and they are never problem free.

I have heard of the hinges snapping and it ****ing up the door seals. Also they are reall flimsy

specifically GTF hinges or all applications in general? Because i have buddies who have had problems with cheap "discount" apps and such - if ima do this im not gonna try and save a few bucks, thats why im goin thru GTF cause i thought they were pretty good about product quality.

Alright well i respect your opinion enough Sebba...besides im not into that whole ricer scene anyways...the money could be spent on much better things such a 4-2-1 header as apposed to the 4-1 i had in mind and other stuff like that. Do you have any suggestions for GS upgrades beyond cat-back, headers and intakes?? I know a 420a maxes out near 200whp but i'd like to reach at least 180....:)

Unfortuantly.. the 420a maxes out at like 100 lol. Im not even joking...

From cams, FULL exhaust... i have heard of people getting a 4hp gain. Worth it? Thats your desicion.

The only real way to make power from it would be to turbo it... but thats a major pain in the ass. If you want a turbo car then buy a GST or GSX... thats what it boils down to

Really?...wow...i mean i knew getting a GS would be a down grade, performance wise, from a GS-T and a GSX obviously...but i didnt know that attempts to even reach 180whp, just 40 above stock, would be such a task. I know the cost of turboing a 420a is not efficiant...i'd be better off buying a GS-T or better yet a GSX. And the idea of a4G63swap is way outa the question too. So i guess hypothetically if someone wanted to try and gain 20 to 40 whp in a 420a with out breaking the bank, how would this someone go about doing so. :D

sell it and get a gsx.. i bought a gst.. but i want bigger.. so im guna get an awd car... thats what i would do..
