harmonic balancer?
 
another problemo with the eclipseo, my harmonic balancer broke what all exactly does it control and how hard is it to replace its not too pricey ive already order a new one it should be here by tuesday its running me 80 bucks just to let ya know!!!

first of all please give people more than 3 hours to respond before you start posting "anyone?". Thats kinda anoyying. Just be patient. second, it has nothing to do with your turbo, and what do you mean hurt the performance of you engine. You dont wanna drive the car without it, so once its replaced it will be fine.

my bad just wanted to know but what i meant by the engine is, by the balancer going out would it not let the engine have regular power i never planned to drive without it just wanna know while it was going out....

well guys i replaced my harmonic balancer it wasnt hard at all i thought it was going to be a pain in the butt but it was a peice of cake,and to top it off believe it or not my car actually has alot more pull than it did before and thats also why my battery would never charge the outter peice of the pulley was broken off completely so the only thing holding the thing together was the belt so ima real happy guy right now:D
