head rebuild problems.

Alright, for those of you who have heard me bitch and moan for over 2 months about my dads friend rebuilding my head, it has finally come to an end(kind of). Turns out it had 2 bad valves(but i had them all replaced:), a big crack in the exhaust manifold, and some random fuel part wasnt working right. But now its ALL FINISHED AND FIXED UP!

(now for the "but")

But i guess he says oil isnt being pumped to the lifters. He has asked a couple other mechanics, but they dont know anything about dsms. It runs great and oil gets everywhere else it needs to be, but just wont get to those darn lifters. Obviously i dont want to scratch up my cams or anything else bad. I want this done right. Does anyone know what could cause that?

Somebody please help me quick...Ive waited long enough to get this car back.

I WANT MY CAR BACK THIS WEEKEND:(:(:(:(:(

I am not a DSM pro but I know they run weak oil presure as it is on the 7 bolt block 2G motors[&:] maybe that is part of it???

BTW I notice you stole my quote AWD>FWD lol...it goes more like this though RWD>AWD>FWD

well it didnt do that before the rebuild. I wouldnt think it would randomly start doing it after.

and you cant just say rwd is better than awd. they both have their awesome points. on the awesome-ometer, i would call them tied. But obviously there is very little that is fun about fwd.[8D]

RWD owns AWD...Anyone who has played with both will take RWD. I have seen to many RWD cars that will eat my EVO off the line. for example the average EVO 60ft time is 1.8 a good one is 1.5-1.6 I have seen supras do 1.3s on some meatty tires and RWD always owns AWD from 50MPH and above.

hmm, well in cornering and such, unless youre pr0 drifter, awd>rwd

but back to the subject...could it just be that the engine has to run for a while for the oil to get up there? it just doesnt get to the top of the head i guess. It doesnt lube the cams or the rods or anything in that area. If he just let it run, and put some oil on there every once in a while to keep it nice and slick, do you think it would eventually start pumping by itself?

He doesnt want to hurt my engine by taking any chances, and obviously i dont want him to hurt it either....
