Hey guys, just a question: My 97 gs has 153K, 3 owners and is in good/fair shape. It runs absolutely fine, has brand new tires and Enkei Lancer Rallyart Rims, but 5th gear pops out of place (bent shift rod I think, idk I didnt break it, I think the owner before me did). How much do you think I should put this up for sale for? Also, any offers haha? Im in OR. Thanks

LOL Sorry OR is too far away to think about. The value of the car is in the buyer's hands. Check KBB.com to get an approximation. It will give you an idea if you plan on selling it.

 

After you get the value off Kelly Blue Book (www.kbb.com) You could always try Ebay and get a little more for it. It does cost around 50 bucks to put an add up, but it may be worth it if you can get some people bidding on it. Just a thought

 

hey!! that looks kindda like my car! lol.. i bought my as .. 1995 GST. Auto. 123kmileage... leather, moonroof, good interior... panasonic cd player.. amp. exhaust and spring for $2900. I'm from Bay Area... well.. .the total came to about 5k.. because i replace tranny and smog and everything. hope that helps.

 

I would say $2,500 to $3,000 might be able to get a little bit more out of it if you do some type of custom work on it that is rare such as putting a tv and xbox in it or something. Spend 300 dollars on that and put the tv molded into the air bag slot and it will raise the value a good bit because people wont think of it as an old car plus that is just bad ***. Its what i did but im not selling my car. Also things like cleaning up the engine real nice maby painting the valve cover/puting headers on it/ nice intake, some colored wire loom and stuff like that. You would be suprised how much you can raise the value of a car with small things.

HEY! that's cool to know someone from Bay Area! i'm from Union City.. it's about 15-20 minutes drive... i belive you live near Mt.View and Sunnyville right?.. I live in a small Town called Union City, it's between Fremont and Hayward... it takes 20minutes to SJ, if drive fast.

yea KBB is crap because on KBB it says "might change with market trends" and yea, around here, no matter the mileage, you cant buy a 2g for less than 4k. but thats like, ya know, working and all. oh well. thanks
