Hey guys. My car idles really low and seems to be getting worse. I know we talked about this before, but I couldnt find it. I remember when you guys said something about tightening something. Anyone know what it is? Where is it suppose to idle. Also, when it idles low, the lights dim a little.

 

Ok first off. What car? What RPM does it idle at. Much more info please... how many miles are on the car... mods... how the car has been driven. The oil you are currently using... all these will help.

 

adjusting the BISS screw which is a phillips that is located on the throttle body. otherwise you might have a VAC leak or something

I have a 95 Eclipse GST. It has about 130,000 miles on it. Where is the BISS screw located on the throttle body?

Where is it suppose to idle? My car idles around 600-700 sometimes, and on a good day around 700-800. Is this right? Because it seems to dim the lights and lose some power. Where is it suppose to idle?

 

750 is what mine idles at... thats pretty good
