me too,cuz timing being off is a much worse situation than just an air leak or a bad IAC motor

 

talking about air sensors, my air pressure sensor on my intake manifold is messed up, anyone have one i can get or a cheaper one than freaking autozone. they want 130, but if thats a usual price... then damn.

 

Thats a usual price. Im assuming your talking about the MAP sensor. What makes you say that its bad?

 

he's just throwing something out there as an option but i doubt that's it. this could be a TON of things. boost leak, bad/old sensor, timing belt, aic, tb leak, plugs, wires, distributor... just start with the easiest. boost leak (you can make a boost leak tester w/ some pvc pipe, 90 bend, coupler and compressor), chang ur plugs, check timing w/ timing light... these are all very simple and cheap checks.

 

my cel send me a malfunction in that sensor, i called my mechanic he says it's probably bad, so i'm gonna test it and if it's bad... well then i have to drop 130. It's also making my idle bounce a tad bit, I've done the leak test, all that jazz, it's the last thing i could figure.
