known battery defect?
The battery in my eclipse just randomly died one day, and I have yet to buy another (project car, doesnt move much) but I was just reading about someone who had an issue with multiple batteries dying and apparently it was a known defect in the charging system? Does anyone know if this is valid, and if it is, how to track down and fix the issue?

never heard of it being a "defect"
there are things that can cause a battery to continue to die such as shorts in the system but i dont know of anything that is a known culprit. How old is the battery? Have you had it tested? |
well I have a tricklecharger that when the battery sits on that for 4 hours itll possibly get enough to turn over, but we tried jumping it for 10 minutes and got nothin. Honestly this came to mind with someone selling a 95 rs on ebay, mentioned an issue that he had to take it to a certified mits mechanic for, that it was apparently a common problem. I didnt believe it but thought Id look into it. Im just gonna pick up a new battery soon I figured if theres a problem fix it ahead of time.

yea i understand because you could get a new battery and have the same problem again. I would take the battery to be tested. They can tell you if it is holding a charge.
