Well.. i was all happy to be picking my car from the shop. Got there and the guy workin on the car said it had problem. The car vibrates alot. He said he couldn't figure out why. Only thing that changed was a new 2100 clutch kit plus used AWD transmission and transfer case with LCD. He blamed it on the swapped engine but i told him that the engine been in there for half a year and when the transmission failed, the car was never like this. They told me to drive it to another shop and have a second opinion. Shifting isn't quiet the same as before and coasting in gear i hear a clattering sound from the transmission side. Pulled over and got towed to another shop for inspection of driveshaft and such. Just my luck. I am 100 percent its the transmission and if that the case the shop will take care of it. You guys ever had the issue with swapping in another transmission and having this problem.

I've read of these horror stories. Did they put the correct tranny in, lol. Kidding.
This sounds like similar issues with incorrect clutch alignment. I won't go into the TOB theory just yet since it's fresh out of the shop.
Oh and I think you meant LSD and not LCD, lol.
I must have missed the "swapped engine" thing in one of your other posts. Does this mean that you have a 6 bolt motor or 6 bolt block?

LOL.. i hope its the correct tranny.. its a complete 6 bolt.. to my knowledge..previous owner didn't tell me to much but that its a 6 bolt motor. the tranny and transfer case is 2nd gen. it came complete from the junk yard as a whole and off another gsx. I am not sure if they put it back together but ill ask them if they algined the clutch. It came with the tool to align it and all. Kind of stupid for a transmission specialist shop to do a job and not do that.

Ohh.. well the guy who did it hoist it up and couldn't see anything wrong. So they told me to bring it to another shop for a second opinion. I just better not be paying more for the repair. I think its just one messed up tranny i got replaced with.

Ah, you can't use a 2G tranny with a 6 bolt....they came off a 1G and a 6 bolt flywheel won't work with a 7 bolt block.
Sounds like they got a tranny for a 2G 7 bolt and put it on your 1G 6 bolt block.

Ohh.. so on my 2nd gen car with the 6 bolt swap.. You have to swap in the 1st gen tranny and transfer case also. During all the readings of doing the 6 bolt swap on a 2nd gen car. Parts required never listed a 1st gen tranny and transfer case as being part of it.

Always thought most of the parts for these cars were mix and match able. Like using the 1g tranny with the 2nd gen car 6 bolt or 7 bolt provided that its matched the the 1st gen transfer case and vice versa.

Ha, I was thinking too far into it.
Ok, this might be your issue. I'm a little tired so work with me.
Ok, here's what I found for you about the two trannys.
So, I'm thinking that the tranny/motor mounts were missed.

The front, rear, and passenger side motor mount are all on the transmisson on the 2G. On the 1G, there is only one mount on the transmission, the rest are on the block. If you try to put the 1G transmission in, you'll have to fabricate mounts for the front and rear.

The front and rear motor mounts are on the trans on 2gs and on the block on 1gs.That's why you can put a 2g trans in a 1g and a 1g motor in a 2g and not vice versa.
