motors doin the harlem shake, need help.
Okay so I finally went to turn over the 95 eclipse after a bit of work, hasnt been turned over in a while to be honest. When it last ran, just like when I first got it, it idled hard and was extremely loud (no exhaust at the time) I had believed the rough idle was caused by perhaps a bad oil filter not letting enough oil into the block. The steps taken so far:
~oil change (including filter obviously)
~10mm spark plug wires
~new throttle body (had issues with broken bolts in the original)
~new obx catback and hi flo "cat converter" test pipe
~rear disc conversion (makes no difference to idle but Im proud of the accomplishment)
At this point what could be causing it to still idle so rough? turning it over today it idled so badly the exhaust was almost convulsing. It was still a little loud since I didnt go with an oem exhaust... but its the idle that bothers me. I know if I have a bad spark plug thatll misfire and cause a vibration with the harmony of the motor being thrown off, but other than that what could be the issue? Fuel pump maybe?
TE you always have words of wisom for me any thoughts?

One more thing, what would be the average idle speed for a 1995 eclipse nt? I was told to adjust the idle, that it could be low but I believe its idling high at about 2000 rpm. Please get back to me asap.

Wow a response!!! lol
Mine was idling around there, but at idle it was shaking violently, I heard it could be a bad egr. I was lookin today, apparently an average idle for the 420a is 750, give or take 50 rpms.. I couldnt believe it.
Now I have an isue with hunting idle I have to look into. Its jumping from 1500 to about 2300 at idle. And thats after it warms up. At first start it idles at 4000 to 4500 for a minute or two. Then it drops down to the 1500 and starts hunting. I cant figure it out, it ran fine even after I replaced the throttlebody. This is the first time starting it with a new tb gasket and its acting up.
