My GST vs a Vette?
 

My internet is acting up so i dont want to take the time to search up on the vettes... But I want to race a vette, from about a 95-06.. Any vette in that range.. A basic one.. I have a 20g turbo at 15 psi right now, big fmic, 750 injectors, cai, custom downpipe, apexi exhaust, no cat... And I have it tuned to just about perfect right now.. Ive had a lot of vettes around, But im a little gun shy you could say to try one of them out...

Think I could take em?

honetly if you are a good driver i think you could take a vette with those mods.

Ive been lookin it up for a little bit now, that my internet is workin.. As long as its not the z06, It should be close in hp/torque... Im not sure what Im pushing for hp but I know it puts you back in the seat... I havnt missed a gear for a couple of weeks now.. But if the vette is an auto, Ill have to be on my A game for sure...

he didnt say c5 anyway, vettes are jsut gonna fuggin wheel spin the whole time, cours you drive a gs-t so it will be close


edit: vettes are heavy and gay too. so that cant hurt right?

Well a 95 C4 with an LT1 came with 300hp and ran a 13.7 in the 1/4. A 97 C5 with the LS1 came with 345hp and ran a 13.3 in the 1/4. It only gets better of course,an 02 ZO6 came with 405 hp and ran a 12.5.An 05 C6 comes with 400hp and also runs 12.5 1/4s.And absolutely forget about an 06 ZO6 505hp monster running 11.5 1/4's. So here is my thoughts,from a stop,if your gst is anything like mine you will lose because of excessive wheel spin,no matter the model vette,since they are RWD they are naturally gonna hook up better than you.From a rolling speed where you wont spin much when you hit it,i think you could take the C4 vette,keep up if not beat an auto C5,if its a manual it could go either way.As far as the ZO6's and C6'S,you will get beat in any kind of race.These are all my opinions of course,but i have been around cars and drag racing for a good part of my life.So find one and see what happens......Oh,Oh,my uncle had an auto C5 (1999) and i drove it years ago,it was definately quick but it was not a ball of fire........

Ya, I realize a z06 is fast.. Im not even gonna try against one of those... But as far as the wheel spin... If its not wet mine hooks up quick.. I have some kuhmo mx's on and I dont lose a lot in spinning... Only time I really spin is if the road is a little damp and the turbo is boostin up there... The only thing I prolly have a dissadvantage on, is the take off though, because I do have terrible turbo lag with this 20g.. But once the turbo spools, I think I can keep up if not take the average vet.. But yes, I know those z06's are fast, and im humble enough to know I wouldnt stand a chance... But most vettes have the ls1 or the lt1 correct?

Just make sure two people are in the Vette and you're the only person in your car...!! ;)

well he said that its gonna be a 95 -2006 so i was assuming that he really meant the 97-2005 vettes which are the C5's and from a roll he'll have no chance. Maybe from a stop
