did you just use a hose to wash out the inside of your engine? i didnt think that was a good idea.i know i have had tons of electrical night mares with my gst and wouldnt ever want to get anything electrical wet on purpose

well hopefully its not hydro locked and you dont need a new ecu. i thought i was getting a good car when i bought mine but it cost me another 5000 dollars after i bought it for 5k so it wasnt really the best move i have ever made. i should of researched more before i just jumped into it

Washing the engine compartment is really just asking for electrical problems. I think you have moisture in either the coil pack or ecu connectors. This won't necessarily dry up in a few hours, especially if it got inside something. You can get a can of electrical spray that will displace moisture. Wire dry is a name that comes to mind.
If you have to wash the engine compartment, do cover all the electical systems. Thos stretchy plastic bowl covers that look like old shower caps, work really well. When I do a degrease job, I cover the alternator, coil pack, ecu, fuse box and anything else electrical that I can get to.
