Local carmax has a 99 W/ 49K miles for $12,900! Im trading my 2000 Audi s4 to save $ for house closing in April and im getting married in Sept 05. My concern is the cars reliablity! The 2k S4 is known for turbo failure resulting in $6000 if out of warranty. Can you guys give me some things to look out for when i inspect the car. Anything at all will help me with my decision. I will search the forum and learn as much as possible. What im looking for are common failures, maintance issues, etc....

these cars are actually tough little cars. they will last for a long time if you take care of it, as will most cars. now you will have some people bad mouth them because they tried to mod one with out knowing what they were doing and destroyed a engine. or were putting way to much horse power on a tranny that had 100+ thousand miles on it, then wonder why they broke gears. but with that said maintain them and they are good cars, and a 99 with 49k miles would be a great car to get, but you can get them down on that price. as for what to look for, i would just take it for a drive see how she acts. one thing about these cars are the plug wires because of the way the plugs are in the middle of the block they get moisture on them then you will get tiny pin holes in them so you have to change plug wires more frequent then on other cars.
