Default Need help with 2g RS . newbi

Just recently bought a 2g eclipseRS . and I want to do some upgrades on the engine, kinda new to it so I was looking for some basic thing i can do to help with hp and overall performance. I wish I had the turbo but this car was a steal. so i got it instead of waiting

Any help on what I can do would be great. Just not sure where to start.!!
Thanks in advance

Well most people will tell you to not even really bother becuase those cars are not cheap to make fast. It is much better/easier to go with a GST GSX. But if you still want to keep this car then intake and exhaust is a good place to start.

I see, I am sorry to hear that. But intake and exhaust is the best place to start, if you REALLY wanted to spend some money you could turbo it, but in the long run it's not really woth it, there are a good handful of people that have done it tho.

the 420a is not a very powerful motor and is tough to get any more out of it. Id say only really spend money on small stuff to make it alittle more fun like intake and exhaust, but dont expect to gain much power from it. Its still gonna be slow unless you dump a ton of money into it like dorian said. So stick with the small stuff and enjoy it for what it is....a good gas mialeage daily driver

Would the engine out of the gsx gxt fix in the rs? Without putting the turbo in it. Is the anything I can do to this engine that would upgrade it?? What about a 1g engine would that be better??

I will look into the intake and exhaust. The cars not that bad it pretty fast But then again I dont drivve the gxt,gxs so I dont know how good it can be maybe it better i dont know.haha. Either ways I love the car. I always wanted and loved the 2g Eclipse. If anything I'll just make it a looker.

JL audio in it already so it sound Great.
