Ok, here's the scoop, I purchased a new Valve Cover that was to be powder coated, but the company called me to let me know the Valve cover they had had a small crack in it, in fact the las three had cracks in them, but he said one of them had a crack in it around the spark plug hole, I asked him if this would affect any oil leaking or cause any problems, in which he said no it won't. He asssured me that I wouldn't have any issues and that the crack was only cosmetic, and with the spark plug wires on you wouldn't even see it. Do you think I should pass, or is it ok. I need to know because the valve cover is to be shipped with a few other things and even if I don't get it, I'd like to have my stuff shipped today. I had him send me a pic of the crack, you can see it below.

 

I dont think that would be a problem, there is a gasket that goes on the underside anyway. It should be okay but see what the others on here say

 

ya you should be fine once that gasket and plug goes on there

 

It will be fine, but personally i would just buy a new one and have that one done... but thats just me

 

Well, I tried calling them back and I missed the Fed-Ex pick up by 30minutes, so I guess I have all weekend for everyones opinion. Personally I dont see a problem using it, I just like it when I buy something I want it to be in good shape, no problems. *sigh*......I dunno.... I also want my car fixed soon, lol.
