are you sure he didnt say he had a SC 300? The sc 300's came with the 2jz supra engine, the gs 300 didnt....If he does indeed have a supra engine and keep in mind it may be turbo you would get smoked. Did you see the engine in his car? Does his car look like this PICTURE

well from what i could find i didnt see anything that had to do with a supra engine. Ask him to pop the hood and you will know right away if it is a 2jz supra engine. Could you beat him though, probably

Those cars dont have the 2JZ so If he isnt boosted I wouldnt be really worried. Even if he does have the non-turbo 2JZ you shouldnt have much trouble. Just shift well and take it all the way to redline and you will be fine.

atown... use your brain there is no way in hell you can get a GST down to 1700lbs... a lotus elise (one of the lightest cars they make) is 1800lbs. the curb weight of a 2gb eclipse gst is 2899lbs. the gs300 does not have the 2jz engine. the is300 has the 2jz engine from what i've heard. lexus are usually heavy and w/ apx 225 hp stock... you should beat him. if he does have a 'supra' engine swap and it's stock... it should be pretty close. if he's got anything done to it... ur toast lol

Ya i was wondering what kind of eclipse you had at 1700 lbs.. But most likely guys that buy lexus's dont put a lot of money into performance unless they are hooked up with a shop in some way.. You should find out more about his car though..

I have all of my AC stuff sitting in a box in my garage, and it feels about 50-60lbs maybe.. Not a lot, but it is a noticeable difference.
