my engine in my 95 eclipse RS blew the other day [:@]and im looking for a new engine and transmission and i wanted to know if anyone on here knew where ones was in the north carolina charlotte area and weather or not you think i should switch it over to manual transmission and if so can some one give me the idiots guide to wat id need to do to switch it over from auto to manual

Try the search function, theirs been lots of talk on the swap, for the motor location check the f/s and wanted sections of the forum.

junk yards I would say have to have one. the 420a is in a few diff cars it isnt that rare and doing a manual swap is alot of work and time consuming I would suggest not doing it because it really isnt worth the effort IMO Even though I HATE autos but that is just me

like emonz said it will be far to much work to try and do the swap, just stick with the stock auto.

Not only is it too much work to swap but it also has a tendancy not to work quite right. Things are much more difficult to align after market than if a machine put it in place when the car was made. Computers are MUCH more accurate...
