newb help
alright so i put in my BOV, boost controller, and boost gauge all at once. first question...should i worry about the check engine light on my dash. and second... how exactly do u read a boost gauge, i just dont quite get why theres numbers goin both ways.

One direction (to the left of the rest position) is vacume, so you could hook it up to your vacume system instead and read that. The right side is your boost.

reseting the ecu is usually not the best answer, but just to see if it does fix your check engine light disconnect your negative battery terminal for a couple of minutes. reconnect, start car and let it idle for 7-10 minutes so the ecu can learn the new engine mods. turn car off. if the light comes on the second time you start your car after, you have a problem somewhere.
left side is vacuum should be around -20 at idle if you see it less you have a leak. boost is on right. If you jus installed a boost controller and you cant read the boost guage BE CAREFUL when adjusting it. dont let boost go past around 15-16 with stock turbo on stock fuel. you may cause some expensive damage. |

Yea, don't wanna lean out the mixture too much with the boost.
