Hey guys, i'm going to get my GSX next weekend. So far the car has:
bored block
forged pistons
forged rods
forged racing rings
HKS turbo cams

HKS bov
aftermarket boost gauge
street double plated clutch
lsd for front and back
18g frankenstein turbo

i was thinkin, boost controller, turbo timer, front mount. after that i'm kinda lost though.

a 6-bolt swap is swapping the motor from an early 1g and putting it into your new 2g.

6-bolt bottom end swap from a 1g will result in never having crankwalk. Its not for sure you will get it on the current block(7-bolt), but it will definately wont happen with a 6-bolt bottom end.

i think all 7-bolts have the possibility to have crankwalk.

no logical reason to get a new engine until the current one breaks, especially since you have upgraded internals. forget the turbo timer unless it makes you feel special, but the rest sound fine. an get some fuel upgrades or you are going to be slower than stock. cams need to be tuned and an 18g cant take much more than 14-15psi on stock fuel

you def need more fuel upgrades ie. fuel pump, injectors, fpr....id also def. get it tuned by getting a SFAC II to get the most out of what you already got.

thanks for the fuel idea... dixonGst what's a SFAC II? like fuel managment / car management? and i need to know if the 6 bolt swap is or isn't a good idea since i have forged internals...
