i need help... i bent a valve will driving.... i took the head off n took it to napa for them to inspect it and replace the valve... i put everything back together... go to start it nd it just cranks n cranks n cranks it will not turnovr... i checked all my timing marks nd evryone was perfect... i checked for spark n i have spark... i checked for fuel nd i have fuel... i did a compression test nd had 5 across the board... i need help does nyone kno wat could be going on...

 

You only bent 1 valve? Sounds like your head is trashed. Do a cylinder leak test to see where you have exccesive leakage.

 

That sounds really odd you only bent 1 single valve while driving. What else happen to the motor?

 

did you replace the head gasket and torque down the head studs properly?

 

i took it to napa n the guy replaced the bent valve nd tested the head n it was fine... yes i did replace the head gasket n torque my arp headstuds to spec on the head studs...

 

I still think you have more then one bent valve, there are4 valves for every clyinder, 2 intake and 2 exhaust. If you bent one you should had bent the other one w/ it???

Was the valve guide cracked?

 

not that i kno of... like the guy at napa pressure tested the head n told me the head is fine... along w the valves

 

Did u check to see if the piston was carcked?

 

your rings could be shot too

 

yep everything looked fine... i replaced the stock cams w hks 264 intke n hks 272 exhaust... could that have anything to do w no compression?
