No more resonator = RICE CITY
So i had an exhaust leak, and the problem was there was a hole at the one end of the resonator... so i figured, "easy fix! just cut off the resonator and clamp a straight pipe down in it's place... this will fix the leak and sound a little better!" or so i thought... now between 3000 to 5000 rpm's+ i get the most ricerish sound i've ever heard in my life! my car sounds like it's got bad gas... I HAD NO IDEA THE RESONATOR MADE THAT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE! so does anyone know how much a new resonator would cost? or a way to fix this problem and still leave the resonator off?

Put a silencer in your tip to muffle Rice city.

RE: No more resonator = RICE CITY
yea i already put my silencer back in, but it still sounds terrible... a resonator i found out is like 80 bucks, maybe a small glass pack in its place might work?? you can get those real cheap at like auto zone or something... are resonators and glass packs similar?
