Default oil in intercooler piping

alrighty... i forgot all about this until I read another post. When I was doing my headgasket and had everything off... there was oil in my intercooler piping. There was also a little bit of oil on the intake side of the compressor housing... What is this from.. I have an oil catch can so there are no vacuum lines running from the valve cover to the intake pipe... just let me know guys.. thanks a lot

if thats the stock intercooler dont worry its normal.

You can clean that out by putting some gas in it and shaking it around.. then just tip it all out and it will be sparking clean

I heard you could do that, so it does work.

no i have the SBR front mount... i don't know i was worried about it... and I have the TIAL BOV and it whistles everytime I shift... almost like my wheels are spinning...(impossible--AWD) so I was at Slow boy and they suggested i might be compressor surge and the BOV spring might be too stiff... then when I reminded them that they are the ones that switched out the spring (because the old one stayed open under idle) they were like, "oh no nevermind its probably not that"... so i don't know... is my turbo shot? I know the BOV isn't supposed to make that gay whistling noise, but I don't know what else it could be..
