Help needed on 4g64 cold start problem
Hi everyone!
We have here in Finland 2g Spyder Eclipse with 2.4L 4G64 -engine and it has got a huge problem especially with it`s cold start behaviour. It does start on cold engine but it doesn`t like to correspond to the gas pedal and you just can`t drive with it when cold. It feels like it runs super lean or something like that.. When the engine warms up the car starts to idle better and does correspond to gas pedal. And also obviously emissions are not OK.
We have changed the MAF -sensor, it didn`t affect to the problem.
We have sprayed for intake leaks and found nothing.
Spark plugs and spark plug wires have been changed, and the problem stayes on.
Fuel filter have been changed.
The car runs on all 4 cylinders.
When you disconnect the MAF-sensor plug the car starts to run a bit better.
We have once checked the fault codes and the codes pointed to the MAF and MAP -sensor (maf changed since that).
I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this issue!
Also all the technical data and measuring advice would be great since I don`t have access to service data/owners manual for example.
Thanks in advance to you all!

Hi
and thank you for the reply.
Ecm temp sensor have been measured and the signal is ok.
Now what we have been noticig is that the MAF sensor signal truly is not readable through ecm. Wiring is good and the sensor itself is fine. So, it must be the ECM itself that causes this fault.
If anyone has got a ECM for this car for sale, please contact me!
Regards
Mikko
